Moving to Keyser Ridge seemed a perfect choice. Rumored a place where humans and shifters lived amicably side-by-side, his being a polar bear shifter ought not pose a problem, though in that neck of the woods, polar bears were only seen in zoo enclosures. Okay, easy enough to keep his dual nature secret. Not quite so easy was having a naked female run smack into him and turn out to be his forever mate. Learning the identity and locale of a cyber-hacker took up all of his time and energy. His bear shouting "mate" set off a blaring alarm of warning. Besides, this female was highly independent and a tad alpha. Men wore the pants and gave orders in his family. He'd be a laughingstock among his native tribe allowing a female dictate to him, plus she didn't seem to recognize their fated connection.
Tamara noticed but chose to ignore it, but her inner fox couldn't, practically going berserk around the guy, bouncing around like a super ball and screeching "mate" until Tamara wished to almost strangle the creature. A determined hitman on her trail was quite enough to deal with. A big, rough guy with mesmerizing baby blues claiming to be her forever mate...heck "NO".
But the guy kept showing up to rescue her and slowly began to grow on her. Okay, maybe she wanted a mate and family like everyone else, but she wanted a full partnership. Could he accept that? Could they both compromise enough to make it work for a lifetime?
